Labs FAQ

beTech Labs Send any questions to betechlabs@list.mail.virginia.edu. We will include commonly asked questions here.

Question: Is Labs only available to UVa or UVa affiliated BeTech members?
Yes. You must have a UVa ID to request or participate in a BeTech Lab.
Question: What is this required “beOpen Attitude”?
Each Lab must give back to the BeTech community in the terms of communication and insight about your Lab development experiment. This means you must perform a quarterly presentation to the BeTech Labs Resource Allocation Committee (RAC) about your experiment. All BeTech memebers are invited to this meeting in order to learn from your experiment. If you are not willing to do this then BeTech Labs is not for you.
Question: Is the “beOpen Attitude” requirement the hook?
Yes. Betech Labs is about broadly raising the bar of web development expertise here at UVa. Each Lab must function in effort to accomplish this single goal.
